Happy Spring

So we're having a little snow storm here for the first day of spring. I heard the weather in the East is blooming spring, as well as in Texas.  Even though it is snowing the temperatures are to hit the 50s this afternoon.  So that means, you guessed it, MUCK. Yesterday I dumped some leaves a neighbor gave us in a pile for the chickens. They had a grand time digging in it, including little chick who has managed to survive so far. And we still don't know if Harriet the pony is pregnant. Some say yes and some say no and we don't know. Only Harriet knows for sure.  Happy First Day of Spring!  -- the day the sun crosses the equator and starts its journey north to bring us summer. (Does she ever talk about anything besides chickens?)
