Sun bright clear days
Fog freezes on the trees
Midnight watches the rising sun
Or is that rabbit in the snow

Below freezing temperatures by day

Party People

The party guy lifting a few
Charlie Cagle joined the Medicare Generation last week and his wife, Lorna, threw him a big party at Glory Days Pizza. That Lorna sure knows how to throw a party.

Congratulations Charlie for making it this far!

Lorna with her 99 year old mother, Gertie, still partying after all these years! Her mother swears the secret of her longevity is red wine.

Reader Theater

The cast
Reader Theater, a reading of works of local writers with minimal props, came to Harney County Saturday, January 5. The cast of six read from works of Marjorie Thelen, Peg Wallis, Jordie Wallis and Micki Selvitella. There were two "performances" -- one at the local library at 4 PM and one at a local restaurant at 7 PM. It was a first for this group and the audience in both venues seemed to enjoy the readings.Proceeds from donations go to bring Micki Selvitella, a screenwriter, actor and director based in Portland, to Burns March 23 and 24 for three workshops.

Reading from Designer Detective, the screenplay.
